Art has been the cornerstone of my life for as long as I can remember. 

My journey began in Fine Arts in Korea, but everything changed the moment I touched raw clay. Captivated by the natural magic of clay and glaze, I redirected my path and graduated with a degree in Ceramics.

Driven by my deep love for children, I also studied early childhood education and spent six wonderful years as an art educator and homeroom teacher.

Marriage eventually brought me to America, where I soon embraced the beautiful gift of motherhood. While I cherished every moment with my child, I felt a deep yearning to reconnect with my creative identity. When my child turned two, I decided to breathe life back into my lifelong passion. I cleared out a corner of our home garage and opened SOYOU Ceramics (formerly J Atelier).

What started as a modest dream quickly ignited. Within just three months, we moved into our first commercial space. Now, three years later, we are expanding into a brand-new, spacious studio. This new home represents the beautiful rebirth of my purpose.
